Kids Sea Safety & Swimming - Ace Swimming

This group is aimed at children ages 7 - 14 years old.
Swimmers must be Learn To Swim Stage 6 or above and should be able to swim 25m in a pool unaided.
This is a 30-minute session that will include:
- water safety and basic rescue information
- open water swim session (either in the sea or tidal pool)
- fun activities and games
The sessions are delivered by qualified surf lifeguards and open water swim coaches.

Hannah Kett: Open Water Swim Coach, School teacher
Tim Quiterio: Surf Lifeguard, Swim Teacher, Firefighter

Open water swimming has been proven to:
- Improve sleep
- Increase happiness
- Boost the immune system
- Preventing and managing long-term health conditions
We want to give children the opportunity to experience these benefits in a fun, safe and engaging session.
We do not take any responsibility for the arrival or departure. We would however advise that all participants (and spectators) respect social distancing, especially on land. As spectators, please be aware of the size of your group.
SESSIONS MAY BE CANCELLED AT SHORT NOTICE DUE TO THE WEATHER/SEA CONDITIONS. In the event of needing to cancel a session, you will be emailed with a full refund given.

PLEASE NOTE: an updated consent form is required at least once every 4 months.

Cancellation policy:
Money paid is non-refundable unless the session is cancelled by the organiser. In the event of needing to cancel a session, a 95% refund will be issued (5% for admin).
Full payment will be made prior to the start of the session (or at an alternative date if agreed).
Failure to give 1 month’s notice to cancel a session will result in a 50% charge.
Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice will result in you being charged the full amount.

Requirements
Aged 7 - 14
Learn To Swim Stage 6 or above
Must be able to swim 25m in a pool
What to bring
Wetsuit and/or a swim suit
Tow float (optional)
Goggles
Towel
A warm change of clothes (ensure you get dressed quick after the session)
A drybag/bag to protect towel/robe from the elements while we swim
Suitable footwear (to walk in)
Itinerary
Arrive at the stated time: meet at Firestone Bay beach
