Creative Screen Printing 2 week course - Ocean Studios

Designing a unique image that will be transferred onto a Screen and then used in Mono printing. This will act as a guide for your Artwork.

Welcome to the Creative Screen Printing event!

Join us at Real Art Make Print at Ocean Studios for a hands-on experience in the art of screen printing. Get ready to unleash your creativity and learn how to bring your designs to life on paper.

We will create a custom image for mono printing and bring individuality into your work.

Mono printing typically involves producing a one-of-a-kind print using a screen, we will be using your screen-printed image can serve as a dynamic starting point or source of inspiration for your composition.

To help you create your own unique image for the screen, we will be

Generate a Hand painted artwork based on your ideas or themes.

Guide you through the process of creating a screen.

Suggest styles or motifs that work well in mono printing (e.g., bold contrasts, textures, silhouettes).

Once ready you will be able to repeat the process to create multiple unique prints Experiment with different colors, textures, and layering.

This workshop will run over two sessions

11th June – Wednesday 6.30pm – 8.30pm

18th June – Wednesday 6.30pm – 8.30pm

This will be run in the Screen printing studio at Ocean Studios.

This workshop will be run by Printer Suzanne Drummond will guide you through the process from start to finish, so no experience is necessary.

Suzanne has a BA in Textile design and a MA in Fine art printing, she makes and sells work throughout the South West. Alongside this she also works for RAMP as print technician, supporting local printers and novices in the print practice.
