Royal William Yard is open and welcoming visitors as normal. Summer's (almost) here - come and visit.

Recently, traffic diversions were in place in the local Stonehouse area - but these have been removed and all is back to normal.

It's easy to reach us and there are a variety of ways that you can travel.

By car

There is plenty of parking on site. We operate a pay and display parking system at Royal William Yard, which is managed by SIP Car Parks.

Another option for parking nearby is Stonehouse Creek, which is a 250-space pay and display car park. Around a 10 minute walk away, this car park is open to the public at weekends. You may wish to consider this option during events, when parking is limited.

By bus

Plymouth City Council is subsidising a shuttle service - the 34A - which runs every 30 minutes, 7am-7pm, until 7pm on Saturday 30th May. The fully accessible 24-seater will serve stops along Union Street before continuing to Royal William Yard.

From Sunday 31st May, the normal Plymouth Citybus 34 route will resume. Take a look at the timetable here.

By ferry

A great alternative - and a wonderful way to arrive - is the ferry service. It's a scenic option, and well worth considering for your visit.

Take a look here for routes and timetables.

On foot

It is about a 30 minutes walk from the City Centre - and Royal William Yard is part of the renowned national Trail, the South West Coast Path.
