Bedazzle a Book

This September, the RWY in Royal William Yard stands for something new. Read, Write, Yap is a brand-new literary festival taking place across the Yard's waterfront spaces and historic buildings throughout the month – a playful, people-led celebration of literature, writing and spoken word. The festival is built around three simple ideas: reading, writing and talking, in whatever form that takes. Across September, a series of small happenings and drop-in activities will bring the Yard to life with author talks, storytelling sessions, spoken word, craft workshops and a handful of lighter, more unexpected touches – from a blind date with a book stand, to a stick library for dogs!

Read, Write, Yap is intentionally accessible. Whether you're a passionate bookworm, a curious browser, a family with young children or someone who just likes the idea of sitting somewhere beautiful with a good story, there's something here for you.

As part of the festival, Circular Social is bringing The Bedazzling Book Club to Royal William Yard to get involved! This is an event designed for book lovers who enjoy a blend of creativity, conversation, and community. Attendees are invited to bring along their cherished books to swap with fellow readers, giving your beloved stories a new home while discovering hidden literary gems from others.

The event also offers a hands-on craft element, participants can bedazzle their favourite book covers and bookmarks, adding a personal, sparkling touch to their reading collection. It’s a delightful way to combine a love for literature with a flair for creativity.

Beyond the books and glitter, the Bedazzling Book Club is all about connection. Guests can chat and exchange recommendations with fellow book enthusiasts in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Please note that this event is held at BLOCK Workspace, in the boardroom - there is no lift, and it’s accessed via stairs.
