COUTURE FOR A CAUSE: RWY RUNWAY FASHION SHOW SET FOR ROYAL WILLIAM YARD
Posted on: 15 Sept 2026
Royal William Yard's independent fashion boutiques – Pebble and Identity Fashion – are joining forces to host RWY Runway, a fashion show that will raise funds for The Primrose Foundation, Plymouth’s breast cancer charity.
Taking place hot on the heels of London Fashion Week, the evening will see both boutiques bring their autumn collections to the catwalk for one night only, with guests invited to join the event on 24th September.
Held in the historic and atmospheric Melville building, the event will showcase a range of looks from Identity Fashion’s one-of-a-kind pieces, to Pebble’s selection of seasonal, sustainable looks. Taking centre stage, many of the models will be patients, former patients, and those with close ties to The Primrose Foundation.
Royal William Yard’s independent wine bar, Le Vignoble, will run the bar throughout the evening. Every guest will receive a tote bag gift as a gift and have the opportunity to take part in a charity raffle with fabulous prizes to be won.
A collaboration rooted in independent retail
Identity Fashion, the brainchild of Deni Avramova-Bastable, has been a fixture at the Yard for over a decade. It has built its reputation on exclusive, limited-edition pieces designed for self-expression; clothes with personality that stand the test of time. Many pieces are Deni's own designs, created specifically for Identity Fashion – one-offs that customers won't find anywhere else. Constantly innovating, it launched a menswear collection last year.
Pebble, founded in 2022 by Zoe Groom, has grown from its origins in Cornwall, to open a Devon flagship store in Royal William Yard’s Arcade last year. It offers a handpicked selection of homegrown womenswear and childrenswear brands. The business was born from Zoe's own experience of completing two years of breast cancer treatment, and remains a family-run business that supports a range of community and charity initiatives.
Supporting local breast care services
A donation – generated through ticket sales and a raffle held on the night – will be made to The Primrose Foundation, Plymouth's local breast care charity.
Established in 1995, The Primrose Foundation has supported breast cancer care in the city for over 30 years. The charity funds breast care services at University Hospitals Plymouth, alongside equipment, clinical research and specialist staff training. It also runs regional health campaigns and community awareness activity to advance early detection.
