Whether you're an emerging artist or an established practitioner, RAMP offers a supportive environment to develop your craft.
Get Creative with Print in Action
RAMP champions innovation in printmaking, supporting Plymouth’s creative community with specialist facilities, workshops, talks, and events. Our programme is designed to enhance your skills at any stage of your creative journey. Led by studio holders at Ocean Studios and collaborators, our workshops cover a range of printmaking processes, including screen printing, letterpress, and relief printing.
Beyond printmaking, RAMP offers a variety of creative practices and intersections, such as drawing workshops (life drawing, portrait, and painting), inspirational talks, and social sessions for the creative community. Our space is home to numerous independent businesses, including The Pottery and Make @ 140.

RAMP at Ocean Studios is a hub for over 25 artists, makers, and creative businesses, including printmakers, illustrators, ceramicists, graphic designers, textile designers, content creators, painters, drawers, and sculptors. We support career development through residencies and market opportunities, nurturing both internationally known and emerging creatives.

Native Makers, powered by RAMP, is a market platform and community for creative entrepreneurs. We offer makers markets, workshops, and e-learning opportunities, focusing on local, sustainable products and diversity. Our curated markets highlight unique maker stories and provide a space for creatives at any stage of their journey to connect and grow.
Relax at the Ocean Studios Cafe
The Ocean Studios cafe, with its large sun-soaked courtyard, offers locally sourced produce from Heyl Bakery, Cakewhole, and specialty coffee from Origin Coffee. The cafe also hosts exhibitions and collaborative creative events, showcasing local artists, makers, and creative businesses.
