By Water
One of the best ways to arrive at Royal William Yard is by ferry — sailing directly into the marina and stepping straight onto the waterfront, with the Yard's restaurants, cafés, shops and workspaces right in front of you.
Plymouth Boat Trips operates the Waterlink Ferry, a newly launched service connecting three of the region's waterfront destinations in one seamless route: The Barbican, Royal William Yard and Saltash.
Running on a frequent, regular timetable from Wednesday 1st April, it offers a greener and more scenic alternative to travelling by car between Devon and Southeast Cornwall.
The Waterlink Ferry also provides an easy onward connection to Mount Edgcumbe Country Park via the Cremyll Ferry, which is currently operating from Royal William Yard Marina while essential repair works are carried out at Admiral's Hard slipway.
Timetables and route maps for all services are displayed on signage at the marina, and you can book online at plymouthboattrips.co.uk.
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome on board.
Berthing
Royal William Yard boasts its very own marina. With short term visitor berths and annual contracts available, and perfect for motor boats and smaller yachts, the visiting mariner can soak up the atmosphere of this unique and special place.

Please note that Mayflower Marina also has a berth within RWY Marina, so those staying or visiting from across the water can make an easy trip to Royal William Yard.
