This weekend members of the public are being invited to Royal William Yard to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday.

On Sunday 12th June the Mall outside Buckingham Palace is being turned into a huge street party with a picnic and street performances for 10,000 guests to celebrate the Queen’s official 90th Birthday. If you haven’t made the invite list for the Mall then fear not – you don’t need an invite to go to Royal William Yard’s festivities!

There will be stalls selling quintessential British food and drink, everything from cakes and flapjacks, to sausage rolls, pasties and ice cream. There will be a brass band performing from 1pm – 3pm and free Union Jack flags on hand to make you feel extra patriotic. So grab a picnic blanket and join in the fun!

Throughout the whole weekend you can come and see the classic Cremyl Keelboats setting off, out of the Yard harbour, to do battle on the Tamar around 10.00am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The boats will be back in around 4.00pm so while they are out, grab some lunch, have a wander around Ocean Studios and take in the racing from Devil’s Point.
