Walk, talk, book - Guided tree walk

This is a reflective walk around the trees of Royal William Yard, led by Andrew Young, a volunteer Tree Warden who has not only spent many years studying Plymouth’s trees but also written about them in a delightful little book, “For the Love of Trees”.

He will point out the distinguishing features of 12 selected trees growing around the green and discuss their special qualities. The walk will start under the large ash tree in the middle of the green – meet there by 2 pm – and it will take about an hour. The walk is free but booking is essential and there will be an opportunity to buy a copy of “For the Love of Trees” – the festival price is £10.
