Join us for a vibrant and creative evening at Ocean Studios, where RAMP collaborates with Minski , Goraka and Make@140 to bring you the ultimate Fashion & Textile Social!

About Minski:
Minski, an independent UK-based slow fashion collective, is on a mission to create sustainable and funky clothing using a variety of handcrafting techniques. Inspired by festival, bohemian, and streetwear styles, Minski encourages a sense of fun and playfulness in fashion. Nina Westwood, the artist and fashion designer behind Minski, started the brand in 2019, advocating for upcycling, sustainable slow-fashion, and expressing individuality.

About Goraka:
Goraka, a Plymouth-based brand by Ash Franceschi, focuses on repairing, mending textiles, clothing alterations, and upcycling. With a background as a fine artist turned self-taught seamstress, Ashspecializes in reusing scrap materials and zero-waste making. Goraka is dedicated to building lasting relationships with our clothes to combat textile waste.

About Make@140

Make@140, based in Ocean Studios at Royal William Yard, fabric shope offerning an aboundant selection on textiles and sewing accesories. It is also a premier destination for makers, artisans and creatives wanting to gain or expand their sewing skills and knowledge. Make@140 hands-on workshops foster a supportive environment where ideas flourish and fashion dreams take shape.

Event Highlights:

• Bring your own fashion, textile, or sewing projects and receive assistance from Nina (Minski), Ash (Goraka) and Lizzy (Make@140). We encourage you to bring your own sewing machines, but there are some available to rent for a small fee. Let us know ahead if you require one.
• Engage in discussions and network with like-minded individuals who share a passion for fashion, textiles, and sewing.
• Explore the creative process of upcycling and mending while enjoying the company of fellow enthusiasts.
