Fabric Manipulation - A Day to Create - Ocean Studios

You will learn how to create beautiful textured fabric using manipulation techniques designing your own one-off pieces by tucking, folding, layering and bubbling by machine and hand sewing. these sample pieces can be applied to your future work.

This work can be used on Interior design, bags, patch pockets, Yokes, facings of Jackets, A sensory object and also you can create your own pictures to frame,

What you will need:

1 Meter of calico and matching thread you can purchase this in our shop.

Odd buttons ribbons or embellishments you think you may like to use this in the process

Your sewing machine – if you need one of ours please tell us at the booking stage and we can confirm if one is available.

A sewing kit – scissors, pins tape measure etc (we have a selection of these tools at make)

Level:

Next stage beginner – you must have been on one of our beginners sewing courses or know how to use a sewing machine and have sewn at least one garment.
