Take a dip in the tidal swimming pool at Firestone Bay, accessible form The Yard, and swim surrounded by spectacular views of Plymouth Sound.

Popular with families, the tidal swimming pool is a shallow pool that is topped up with fresh sea water every time the tide comes in.

In the summer the water is often much warmer than the sea itself. Great for swimmers and little paddlers, there is a gentle sloped entry into the pool which at its deepest is around 1 - 1.5m.
