This December - in the spirit of the season of giving and goodwill - Royal William Yard is running a charitable initiative, and everyone is invited to get involved. Whether you're heading to the Yard for a Christmas get-together, visiting one of our festive markets, or taking a dip for a winter wild swim - we would love all guests to lend their support this week.
We are partnering with a number of local charities to have a collection week, which begins today and runs through to Sunday 10th December.
The collection will support these special local causes:
- Toiletries and Personal Hygiene Products for the Ginsters' Project 35 appeal
- Children's coats/scarves and gloves for the Operation Santa appeal, supporting local families
- Non-perishable food collection for Plymouth Foodbank
What to donate:
- Toiletries and personal hygiene products – any new and unused personal care items including deodorants show gels and shampoos as well as feminine hygiene products
- Children’s warm winter cloths – new or used in used (in good condition) clothing including coats, scarves, jumpers, gloves, shoes for children up to aged 16
- Foodbank donation – non-perishable items such as tinned items, long-life milk/fruit juice cartons, coffee/teabags, cleaning products. A full list of the current items the food bank needs is available here
