A powerful new film, created by and starring former Royal Marines, will be the star of the show at exclusive events at Everyman Plymouth this week. 'Sunray: Fallen Soldier' will be shown on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th January, with both evenings featuring exclusive Q&A sessions with lead actor Tip Cullen. Following the launch events, the film will then be screened at Everyman until 30th January.

This exclusive cinematic event provides the only opportunity to experience 'Sunray: Fallen Soldier' on the big screen. The film holds particular significance for Plymouth, with numerous local Royal Marines having contributed both on screen and behind the scenes.

Written, directed, produced, edited and performed by former Royal Marines Commandos, the production actively employed veterans throughout its creation, both in front of and behind the camera. It has garnered support from the armed forces community and has already attracted critical acclaim.

Everyman Plymouth is bringing a uniquely poignant experience to the historic Royal William Yard, which is just metres from the spiritual home of the Royal Marines at Stonehouse Barracks, in a city with deep connections to the armed forces.

'Sunray: Fallen Soldier' draws on authentic military experiences, including the profound impact of losing fellow servicemen. The film provides a platform for sharing important stories about service, sacrifice, and the real impacts of PTSD.

The film follows Andrew “Andy” Coleman, a war veteran, who calls on friends from his past to hunt down those responsible for the death of his daughter. Along the way, he learns more about himself than he anticipated as a violent crime syndicate unravels in his wake.

The screenings align with Everyman's commitment to delivering unique cinema experiences that go beyond traditional film showings, offering audiences the chance to engage directly with creative talents through the Q&A sessions.

Tickets for the screenings can be booked here. For more information about the film, visit the Sunray: Fallen Soldier website.
