Posted on: 12 Sept 2018
Roll up, roll up; the spectacular Weekend of Wonders returns to Royal William Yard this weekend, with world-renowned circus group, The Invisible Circus, gearing up to dazzle visitors with a magical programme of awe-inspiring performances that guarantee an unforgettable day out for all ages.
With a troupe of performers descending on the Yard from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September, Weekend of Wonders is back by popular demand and promises to be a show-stopping spectacle. Some of the UK’s most renowned street performers will entertain the crowds with daring feats throughout the day, including tightrope walking violinists, rolla bolla balancing knife jugglers, super heroes, acrobats, aerial dancers, balloon modellers and more.
The Invisible Circus is a Bristol-based circus theatre company renowned for creating immersive experiences in unusual locations, as well as performing at arts and music festivals around the world since 1996. The group will also be joined by vertical dance troupe, Yskynna over the weekend, who will be presenting a hypnotic work of pendulum and wall running, choreographed by D Greeves to Karsh Kale's 'Milan, on the Yard’s 16m back wall. With three performances on both the Saturday and Sunday (prime viewing outside the entrance to Ocean Studios, with limited seating provided).

A selection of food and craft traders will be open for business at the Yard on the Saturday of the event, the Sunday coincides with the return of the monthly Good Food Market. The markets will run from 10am-5pm on both days.
Bringing together the region’s finest artisan food, drink and craft stalls on the lawn, to offer a variety of mouth-watering refreshments and gifts. From the freshest local produce to some unique arts and crafts, the market attracts some of the South West’s top suppliers and artisan makers each month, and September’s event is set to be one of the best yet.
