Royal William Yard is set to welcome its newest retail attraction this Saturday as Arcade officially launches, bringing a fresh shopping experience to Plymouth's historic waterfront destination.

Located within the Grade I listed Brewhouse building and overlooking the marina, Arcade comprises six flexible retail units designed to support both independent businesses and national brands.

Weekend Pop-Up Showcase

To celebrate Arcade's opening, a curated selection of South West makers and creators will operate pop-up stands from 10am to 2pm during the Good Food & Craft Market on Saturday. Visitors can browse offerings from:

  • Shallow Ford Flowers
  • State of the Art
  • Martha & Bee
  • So! Handmade in Devon
  • Erica Ankers Art
  • Jumplings
  • Black Dog Honey Bees Ltd
  • Hobbs Chocolates
  • Candles of Sherford
  • 2nd WIND
  • Hannah Wisdom Textiles
  • Just Dunne Baking

First Tenant Opens Doors

Leading the charge as Arcade's inaugural tenant is Nala's Pet Co., a local independent business. The pet store will open its doors on Saturday 3rd August, offering a carefully curated selection of premium dog food, toys, accessories, and natural remedies.

Owner Tom Hall, who founded the business five years ago after struggling to find quality nutrition for his German Shepherd Nala, promises a unique retail experience. The store will feature industrial fittings mixed with neon signs, a photo wall for customers and their pets, and personalised guidance on pet care.

Flexible Space for Business Growth

The innovative concept offers everything from monthly pop-up opportunities to longer-term leases of up to six years. Each of Arcade's units, ranging from 492 to 1,303 square feet, features roller shutters allowing businesses to operate independently. The design preserves the site's industrial heritage with exposed stonework, soaring ceilings, and historic details, while creating connected communal areas for easy shopping flow.

Visit Again

Additional pop-up events are planned for 9th August, coinciding with the History Trail launch, and 17th August for the RNLI Open Day.
