We have made some improvements to our disabled parking provision at Royal William Yard, as we work to ensure everyone can enjoy the Yard safely and with ease.

Our disabled parking spaces have moved to an area with a sturdy hard-standing floor – these spaces are just a few metres to the right of the previous location, at the rear of the green. We have also added more disabled spaces and the bays have been widened to improve access.

If these disabled parking spaces are occupied, disabled motorists are of course welcome to use any other public parking space around the Yard.

A reminder that the parking rules changed last year. Disabled motorists must pay to park at Royal William Yard, wherever they choose to park. In addition, those using the disabled parking bays must also display a blue badge.

Parking can be paid for at the nearest payment machine or on the PayByPhone app. Any issues, ask a member of the SIP staff on site for help.

For any additional assistance, head to the Welcome Suite at Gatehouse, located right at the entrance to the Yard. The team is happy to give directions or advise on suitable parking – just drop in if help is required.
